We have found that it can be difficult to find accurate and medically sound advice on body countering procedures and we often get asked for the ins and outs of our products and procedures. For that reason, we have put together our Body Contouring – Questions answered blog post to help inform and educate our customers on the advantages of our body contouring products.

What is Body Contouring?

Butt lift, breast enhancement and body contouring have, up until recently, been surgical interventions. Implants or liposuction and redistribution of fat to other body areas have been the only way to achieve these results. However, with all surgical procedures, a risk is carried and the most popular butt lift, The Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) although extremely popular has a high report of complications and the highest death rate of all cosmetic surgery procedures.

There is now a new way to offer patients the desired aesthetic with a far lower risk. Dermal fillers are now a suitable alternative for patients seeking enhancements in both their buttocks and their breast.

Hyaluronic acid-based products, designed specifically for these enhancements are becoming more popular, and more training In this area is becoming widely available across the country.

A non-surgical butt lift is an amazing alternative to implants. The hyaluronic acid-based fillers are used to lift the butt, giving more volume, improve shape, correct “hip dips” improve skin quality and cellulite. No cuts, no scarring and no general anaesthetic are needed and the procedure can be done in less than an hour.

Butt fillers are injected with a blunt cannula under the skin and not under the muscles so the complications attached to BBL surgery will be avoided. Non-surgical butt lift, body contouring and breast enhancement are much easier and safer treatments than traditional surgical interventions and can last up to 2 years.

Depending on the results clients want, these results can be reached within 2-3 sessions.

Local anaesthetics are used in the injected area, 10-20minutes prior to the treatment commencing to ensure maximum comfort.

Recovery is short, most clients don’t need any downtime and can return home immediately after treatment. Minimum amounts of pain and swelling are expected in the first 3 days- but these are procedures well tolerated by clients.

To ensure the best results, clients are recommended to avoid strenuous physical activity for a week, sun exposure/tanning/sunbeds for 3 weeks and ideally, to reduce targeted area exercises for 6 weeks (eg glute workouts).

Are Body Contouring fillers the same as those used in the face?

Butt, breast and body fillers have similar ingredients as facial fillers. The main component is Hyaluronic acid. The concentration of hyaluronic acid is higher, and the molecule size is bigger to achieve more volume when injected.

Can hip dips be corrected with non-surgical butt lifts?

Yes- hip dips are often areas of the body both men and women can feel self-conscious about. The use of body contouring fillers to help smooth these areas out can easily be achieved, leading to the coveted hourglass figure that is often desired by clients. These are a popular choice.

Are butt fillers reversible?

Because these fillers are hyaluronic acid-based, like facial fillers, these can be reversed and dissolved with hayalase injections- but due to the amount and area, you may need multiple sessions to reverse the treatment. All fillers naturally dissolve over time, but if the results are needed quickly, hayalase injections can be used.

Are the non-surgical options permanent?

Fillers usually last between 18-24 months depending on lifestyle and body type, which means these are not permanent results. This is often a big positive for clients as they can experiment with different looks, without the commitment to surgical intervention.

How many sessions would I need to get a rounder more lifted bum

To achieve the “BBL” look that is coveted by clients, there may be a need to have multiple sessions. Fillers will expand and settle within 3-4 weeks of the procedure, and it can take up to 3 sessions to see the final desired results from the body contouring process, however, some clients do see the results they want after one session depending on the type of results they want to achieve.

Can you see where filler Is injected into the breast?

Using fillers to produce an enhanced bust is far less invasive than the traditional surgical intervention. The filler is injected into a very small area under the breast, often less than 3mm in size, making it so that it is almost invisible

Who would you recommend breast fillers to?

Women who have smaller cup sized breasts (A-B) would likely see the benefit more and even see an increase In a whole cup size. This can also be ideal for women who have asymmetric breasts. For women with larger busts, this can help with cleavage contouring.

How long do non surgical breast augmentation take?

Unlike its surgical equivalent which would require a hospital stay, and weeks of recovery, breast enhancement using fillers can be done in just 30-40 minutes, and is often referred to as the “lunchtime boob job”. There is minimal recovery time and people go back to their normal daily routine immediately with very little discomfort.

Are there any risks to body contouring?

As with all cosmetic procedures, no procedure is ever 100% safe, however, the benefits of these types of enhancements are that they use safe, bio-degradable natural products, with minimal side effects and no need for a general anaesthetic.
